Welder / Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal structures and components to meet project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with various welding techniques, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and structures according to project specifications.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Measure and cut metal materials to the required specifications using tools such as saws, plasma cutters, and grinders.
  • Perform quality control checks on welds and fabrications to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting settings for different materials and welding techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure the final product meets project requirements and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment by following all health and safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a welder/fabricator, with proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and welds.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors.
  • Certification in welding is preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
