Receptionist

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organised Receptionist to join our client in Lancaster. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation.

Location: Lancaster
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and staff with a warm and professional attitude.
  • Answer phone calls, direct them to the appropriate department, and take accurate messages as needed.
  • Manage the front desk, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain office supplies and order stock when necessary.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Ensure all visitor records are maintained and security procedures are followed.
  • Support scheduling of appointments and meetings as needed.
  • Provide support to management and staff with various office-related tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Proficient in using office software (Microsoft Office, email systems).
  • Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeaner.
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and changing priorities.
